Baked Goods

Image
Here are a few shots from my recent visit to 7 Day Magic Bakery. As you can see it's a really fun build lots to explore and even some things to do. Chef Alina, here will set you on your way as an apprentice pastry chef, and soon you too could have a cooking show on the CMNF Network! Along the way you must sample some of the pastries available. They are out of this world! The trick is to first BUY the pastry, then remember to TAKE it into inventory. The workers here at 7 Days are all friendly, if a little mechanical, but you can't have everything. They are more than ready to show the new girl the ins and the outs of the bakery business. I won't show you the secrets of the factory floor, but you'll be able to find those for yourself. I really admire the work they put into this sim to make it unique. Well, at least for a little while. A little bird tells me that theses same creators are opening a Help Island. Maybe Newbies that come through the 7 Day Bakery pro...

Naturism

Image
While its always difficult to pin down the philosophy of a diverse group, most Naturists will agree that they enjoy life more without clothing. Naturists apparently enjoy the sun on their skin and sharing it with family friends and pets. For some it's a lifestyle with deep philosophical foundations. For others it's a skinny dip in a friends hot tub. But for just about all, it's not about sex. Unless we're talking about Second Life.™ In our little virtual world we have to constantly remind residents that naturism and erections do not mix. Even the best of Naturist sites are seen as pick-up spots by many of the patrons. Maybe not the regulars who know each other, but for the casual visitors it's a meat market with fresh meat. It doesn't really help that lots of the sites that list "Naturism" or "Nudist" are at best ugly sex markets for the newbies that make the Lindens cringe when they're talked about in media (waves) I really thin...

Dublin

Image
There are times when feel like exploring, and times when I want to stay closer to home. Tonight I took a trip to an old favorite of mine, The Blarney Stone in Dublin. It's been a favorite of mine since I joined SL™ and I'm guessing a favorite of lots of others too, since unlike most bars in the game, it's still around. It's really a marvelous joint, almost always rockin', lots of people around to chat with and possibly make friends. There's frequent live shows too. The music skews toward the Celtic, but then what did you expect? Not this night though, it was your typical crowded jukebox night in Dublin, the steam wafting back from the Guinness brewery. Okay, I'll admit I was disappointed I didn't get more IMs but then I didn't get any complaints either. so I'll say I broak even. Still if you're looking for a great night out, I can't think of a better place than the Blarney Stone. And pour me a cold one, I may need it.

CMNF Weather Report

Image
Spring has sprung, at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere.  And that old saw about April showers bringing May flowers had me wondering. Most of Second Life™ looks a lot like May, June, July, and even some August. Occationally you'll find an Autumn setting, and there are those who perpetually love Winter. But where do you find those refreshing rains? This is a small garden in Lochme, an adult sim (be prepared to be shocked - or not). A friend of mine pointed this one out to me. It's a light refreshing sprinkle and doesn't really cover more than 20 square meters, but it's there for your enjoyment. I guess with a name like Rainworld, you'd have to expect a little more of a downpour.  There's not really any way to sit and enjoy this one, but you can watch from inside the clothing store or the art gallery here. Creamworld might have overdone it here. Yes you can sit and enjoy the scenery and feel of the particle rain on your pixels, but this may b...
