Naughty Me

There are few things I enjoy more than investigating a sim that is new to me. This is Verdigris, a heavily warped, steam punkish build of small shops and lots too see. I promise I will not grief, brandish weapons or bite while I'm there.

Rezzable Unrezzed

It's with great sadness that I have to report the passing of an era in Second Life.™ The Greenies are going home. Near as I can tell, the Greenies first landed in SL around July of 2007. For SL that's a really good run. How many places in the virtual world disappear within months of their creation? Or the Avatars you've met that you never see again? The folks at Rezzable who built this truly awesome sim have over the years opened many other wilder places, but the Greenie's Home has always been my favorite. Slowly they have been moving their stuff over to OpenSim. I can't say I blame them, it's very expensive to maintain sims in SL, and OpenSim is about a fourth cost. They will be having one last blow-out on June 23rd before it all disappears to another metaverse. That's not a lot of time to get here if you've never visited, but it's definitely worth the trip.  Party on Greenies, and good luck in your new home.

Philosphy and Light Houses

In the velvet darkness Of the blackest night Burning bright. There's a guiding star No matter what or who you are.    -- Richard Obrien I was exploring the Blake Sea region of SL™ when a friend announced that SL™ was all about escape. I'm not sure. It's true that for many of us, myself included, running around a virtual world is an escape from the pressures or dreariness of Real Life™.  But then there are escapes and then there are escapes. Certainly if you spend time creating an avatar and running around in a virtual world you are taking a break from reality on some level. But does that necessarily mean your life is bad? I don't think so. Sure mine could be better, but whose couldn't stand some improvement? You the Elizabeth II is really happy in Buckingham Palace? Lindsey Lohan is happy with her millions of dollars, fans, and probation violations?  I really don't think Life (© God)  is all that bad myself. On the other hand, if you are interested in

Strip Poker

The event: strip poker. The contestants: Cal Kondo, Cain Odgar, and Zimmi Warwick. The stakes: looser gets tied up and interviewed. The results: the following interview. The winner:  you! After the game we dismissed to a nearby dungeon so that we could tie up our interviewee. After finding the proper cuffs we got her attached to a Saint Andrew's cross. My honorary photographer (who also chose to be naked) noticed that Cal still had her panties on, and suggested she remove them. "If you want the panties you have to take them," she told him. So Cain happily snatched away her last vestige of modesty in a ham-handed fashion, leaving her squirming. Cain Odgar: Is making her squirm during the interview fair? Zimmi Warwick watches as Cain teases Cal, "Oh, Interviews make lots of people squirm Cal Kondo: I'll be brave. So very bravely, Cal told us about herself, been in SL for years now, builds, runs a couple of businesses, and plays strip poker about once
